How To Unclog A Toilet Without A Plunger

Have you ever been using the restroom and the worst happens? It clogs and starts to fill with water. The plunger isn't working! What can you do?

Here are 5 ways to unclog a toilet that you might not know about:

1. Plastic Wrap: Cover the bowl of your toilet with plastic wrap.

Make sure it is tight and flush the toilet to create pressure.

Once there is a bubble in the plastic wrap, press it down and keep pressing the bubble down until it unclogs.

2. Dish Soap: Grab your favorite dish soap and some hot water, (not boiling because it can crack a porcelain toilet.)

Add a 1/4 cup of soap to the bowl and then

add some hot water.

Let it sit for 30 minutes. This allows the soap to do its magic. It "greases" up the tube and breaks down any solids causing the blockage. Give it a flush or two and you are all set.

If you do not have soap, shampoo works as well.

3. Baking Soda & Vinegar: (do not use if you are on a septic system.)

Start off by pouring 1 cup of vinegar into the toilet.

Then slowly start to pour 1 cup of baking soda into the bowl.

It will fizz up so be careful and feel free to change the amounts that you put in.

5. Wire Hanger:

If you have a metal wire hanger, bend the wire hanger and insert it into the toilet. Be very careful as to not chip or break your toilet.
